Sardis came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Douglas, but Keilan Green wouldn't allow it. The Eagles strolled past the Lions with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 35-21 thanks in part to Green, who rushed for 175 yards and one touchdown while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. He is becoming a predictor of Douglas' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 0-3 when he doesn't).

Douglas didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Layton Culbert, Baker Lyles, Isaiah Glidewell, and Carson Dowdey picked up one apiece. Dowdey is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least seven every time he's taken the field this season.

Douglas' win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-3. As for Sardis, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
