Volleyball Recap: South Summit Wildcats vs. Tabiona Tigers
South Summit unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Tabiona Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
South Summit took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-22, 18-25, 25-16, 15-10.
Tabiona found their leader in sophomore Kayela Gines, who had 21 assists and 12 digs.
Looking ahead, South Summit will square off against Union at 6:30 p.m. on the 21st. As for Tabiona, they will head out on the road to challenge Duchesne at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st.
