Soccer Game Preview: Buchanan vs. Edison

Buchanan is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Edison is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Buchanan Bears will host the Edison Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Buchanan's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Edison's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Buchanan's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They beat Golden West by a goal, winning 1-0. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Trailblazers are ranked 89th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Buchanan's one-goal win came courtesy of Brayden Garcia, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, Edison made sure to put some goals up on the board against Lemoore on Friday. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 4-1 win. The result was nothing new for Edison, who have now won five contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Buchanan's victory bumped their record up to 8-0-1. As for Edison, their win bumped their record up to 9-0-1.
