Soccer Game Preview: Lightridge vs. Potomac Falls

Lightridge is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Potomac Falls a seven-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Lightridge Bolts will welcome the Potomac Falls Panthers at 7:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lightridge lost 4-1 to Briar Woods on Monday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Lightridge were already down 4-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Kaitlyn Fella, who's now up to six this season.

Meanwhile, Potomac Falls came up short against Stone Bridge on Monday, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, Potomac Falls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 241st, while Stone Bridge are ranked 80th).

Potomac Falls' loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Lightridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-2.

Lightridge beat Potomac Falls by a goal in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 1-0. Do the Bolts have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
