Volleyball Recap: Paschal Beats Polytechnic for Their Fifth Straight Win

Paschal came tearing into Friday's match with four straight wins, and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Polytechnic Parrots 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Parrots: they've now won five in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Paschal took every set by at least 17 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-3, 25-5, 25-8.

Georgia Ostransky paced Paschal's offense, picking up 10 kills. Ostransky got some help from Ellie Raymond and her 15 assists. Raymond was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 12 aces.

Paschal has now won 12 of their last 15 games at home. That gives them a 15-14 record this season. As for Polytechnic, they have traveled a rocky road for a while, having lost 36 of their last 40 games, dating back to last year. That leaves them at a 2-17 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Paschal will square off against their in-conference opponent Everman at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Polytechnic is set to face off against their familiar foe Wyatt at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
