Softball Recap: Tipton-Rosemark Academy Comes Up Short

Tipton-Rosemark Academy lost against Dyer County on April 1st, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Rebels fell just short of the Choctaws by a score of 6-5. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Lanie Howe put in work no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent over her last eight games. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Lola Sprenkle was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. Allison Willis was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Tipton-Rosemark Academy's record now sits at 21-16-1. As for Dyer County, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-7.

Tipton-Rosemark Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dyer County, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-3 victory against Dyersburg on the 1st.
