The Maiden Blue Devils will head out to face off against the West Lincoln Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Maiden is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Maiden is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 23 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against East Burke on Tuesday. They fell 5-1 to the Cavaliers. The match marked the Blue Devils' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, West Lincoln fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against East Lincoln on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 9-8. The Rebels have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

West Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Maiden, they dropped their record down to 6-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Maiden was able to grind out a solid victory over West Lincoln in their previous matchup on March 7th, winning 5-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Maiden since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
