Softball Recap: Ellwood Christian Comes Up Short

Ellwood Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 29-4 to the Central Lions. On the bright side, the four- run effort marked the Eagles' highest-scoring contest to date.

Ellwood Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Central, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Ellwood Christian will head out on the road to square off against Wilcox Central at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Central, they will take on Highland Home at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Flying Squadron have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of.
