Baseball Game Preview: Northeast Eagles vs. Hopkinsville Tigers

For the second straight game, Northeast will face off against Hopkinsville. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northeast has given up an average of 8.4 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Northeast managed to slip by Hopkinsville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Eagles came up short against the Tigers on Thursday, falling 14-4. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

For Hopkinsville's part, Jayden Kellum was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Kellum a new career-high in RBI (three). Layton Lindsey was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
