Volleyball Game Preview: Zimmerman Thunder vs. Big Lake Hornets + Official Tickets

Zimmerman is 2-7 against Big Lake since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Thunder will be playing at home against the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Zimmerman earned a 3-1 win over St. Francis. The victory continues a trend for the Thunder in their matchups with the Fighting Saints: they've now won six in a row.

Big Lake not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 23, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Totino-Grace.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-9-1. As for Zimmerman, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Zimmerman beat Big Lake 3-1 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Do the Thunder have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
