Football Game Preview: Wall Hawks vs. Slaton Tigers + How To Watch

The Wall Hawks will venture away from home to square off against the Slaton Tigers at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Wall will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Wall is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 50-0 victory over Childress. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won 11 matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.

Landon York had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 94 yards and a pair of TDs, while also throwing for 177 yards and two touchdowns. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 83-yard run. Brady Neal helped out on the ground, rushing for 85 yards and a rushing touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Wall was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 253 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Another reason for the win was Wall's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece. Dylan Sellers was another major factor on D, forcing one fumble and making seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Slaton was able to grind out a solid win over Merkel on Thursday, taking the game 43-36.

Wall better keep an eye on Jacob Lopez. He was instrumental in Slaton's win, rushing for 111 yards and one score on only 13 carries, while also throwing for 138 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten passes.

Wall's record now sits at 12-0. As for Slaton, their record is now 10-2.
