Basketball Recap: Pass Christian Takes a Loss

Pass Christian lost against Picayune back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pirates fell 51-45 to the Maroon Tide. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Picayune to victory were Rhyen Goss and Laikyn Moore. Goss shot 58% from the field to rack up 15 points along with seven boards and five assists, while Moore dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. The last time Goss' shooting accuracy was this high was back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Carleigh Guillotte, who posted seven points and ten boards.

Pass Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Picayune, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Pass Christian has already played their next game, a 61-26 victory against Long Beach on the 20th. As for Picayune, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 49-45 loss against Bay on the 22nd.
