Baseball Game Preview: Mountain View Bruins vs. Uintah Utes

For the second straight game, Mountain View will face off against Uintah. The Bruins will challenge the Utes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain View has given up an average of 6.8 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mountain View fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Uintah on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Utes by a score of 14-13. The Bruins haven't had much luck with the Utes recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Mountain View got a massive performance out of Josh Hair, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Hair is becoming a predictor of the Bruins' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 8-13 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Olsen, who went 3-for-6 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Uintah's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-12. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-14.
