Softball Recap: Valdosta Wildcats vs. Lowndes Vikings
Valdosta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They lost 7-0 to the Lowndes Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 18-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture on Thursday.
Valdosta saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madylyn Hart, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and a double. Hart is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last four games she's played.
Valdosta's loss dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Lowndes, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-7.
Valdosta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lowndes, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-1 win against Camden County on the 8th.
