Topsail entered their tilt with Laney on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Buccaneers 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pirates also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Topsail walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-12, 25-19.

Sarah Cutler paced Topsail's offense, picking up nine kills. Cutler got some help from Hannah Losey and her 17 assists. Anna Pullinger controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Topsail's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Laney, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Topsail will face off against Hoggard at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Laney, they will challenge Carolina Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
