Basketball Recap: Reagan Bean's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Vermillion over Fountain Central

North Vermillion lost against Fountain Central back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The North Vermillion Falcons took a 41-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fountain Central Mustangs. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Reagan Bean, who went 5 of 7 en route to 11 points. The dominant performance gave Bean a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Nora Thomann, who posted eight points in addition to ten rebounds and four steals.

North Vermillion's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Fountain Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

North Vermillion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-7 win against Dugger Union on the 14th. Fountain Central has also already played their next contest, a 34-29 victory against Southmont on the 16th.
