Basketball Game Preview: Elizabeth Bulldogs vs. Hicks Pirates

Elizabeth is 1-9 against Hicks since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Elizabeth Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Hicks Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Elizabeth will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Elizabeth earned a 48-35 victory over Avoyelles Charter. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Vikings are ranked 254th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Hicks suffered their biggest loss since January 20, 2024 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 70-43 loss at the hands of Fairview. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hicks' defeat dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Elizabeth, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
