Basketball Recap: Tidehaven Extends Winning Streak to Four

Tidehaven extended their postseason success on Thursday against Randolph. They took down the Randolph Ro-Hawks 56-42. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Ro-Hawks are ranked 787th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Randolph lost, don't look at Sanaa Taylor. Despite the final result, she went 6-for-11 on her way to 17 points along with five assists and five boards. Those five assists gave Taylor a new career-high. Bella A Guajardo was another key player, putting up 12 points.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Tidehaven, bringing their record for this year to 34-2. As for Randolph, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-14.

Tidehaven wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 61-26 win against George West on the 17th. Randolph does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
