Volleyball Recap: Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience Owls vs. Duchesne Pioneers
After flying high against KIPP last Friday, Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience came back down to earth. The Owls fell just short of the Duchesne Pioneers by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Owls haven't had much luck with the Pioneers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-19, 19-25, 25-13, 21-25, 15-10.
Drelen Jackson paced Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience's offense, picking up 21 kills. Jackson got some help from Amir Al-Husseiny and his 32 assists.
Duchesne's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brody Keathley, who had 17 digs. That's the most digs Keathley has posted over his last 15 matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Severs, who had 14 digs and three aces.
