After low-scoring totals in their previous six contests, Burke brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Omaha Northwest Huskies on Friday and snuck past 4-3. The victory was just what Burke needed coming off of a 6-1 loss in their prior contest.

They hit Omaha Northwest with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Wyatt Urban (2), Daniel Mejia, and Sebastian Garcia-Sanchez.

Michael Dubose, who's played more minutes than anyone else on the Omaha Northwest squad sat out for Friday's match. With Dubose sitting this one out, Dharrean Davis got some extra time on the pitch (65 vs. his season average of 27.8).

Burke's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Omaha Northwest, they haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burke will challenge Benson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Benson's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Omaha Northwest, they are on the road again on Saturday to play Jefferson at 1:15 p.m.
