Volleyball Recap: Wellington Wins Going Away Against Lake Worth

Wellington had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Lake Worth on Wednesday. The Wolverines blew past the Trojans 3-0. The Wolverines not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 11th.

Wellington walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-15, 25-21, 25-18.

Their offense was headlined by Carlos Pelaez and Troy Donadio, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Nico Martinez and his 13 assists. Logan Memberg controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Wellington pushed their record up to 7-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Lake Worth, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Coming up, Wellington will head out to take on Leonard at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake Worth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dwyer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
