Softball Recap: Interlake's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Interlake ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Evergreen Wolverines 14-13. The victory was nothing new for the Saints as they're now sitting on three straight.

The team relied heavily on Dorah Wang, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with two triples, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jacky Jimenez, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.

Interlake pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Evergreen, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Interlake is taking a road trip to face off against Kennedy Catholic at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Evergreen, they will host Muckleshoot Tribal at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
