Baseball Recap: Rocky Mountain Snags 12th Victory in Last 13 Games

Rocky Mountain had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They skirted past the Prairie View Thunderhawks 3-1. Three seems to be a good number for the Lobos as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Ross Frank spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Rocky Mountain's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Champ Rivera, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Rocky Mountain has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Prairie View, with the defeat, they broke their 17-game winning streak and moved their record to 21-4.

As of now, neither Rocky Mountain nor the Thunderhawks have any future games scheduled.
