Volleyball Recap: Bishop Moore Starts Season with Victory Against Horizon

Bishop Moore took care of business in their home opener on Thursday. They came out on top against the Horizon Hawks by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Hornets, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The win didn't come easy: Horizon scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 23-25, 25-21, 25-21.

Bishop Moore had a senior duo take command as Marc Francis Callejas had 22 digs and Jose Rubero had 11 assists and four digs. The dominant performance gave Callejas a new career-high in digs.

Horizon's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Bishop Moore will take on Oviedo in a tournament on Friday. As for Horizon, they will be taking part in a tournament against St. Augustine at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
