Volleyball Recap: Lathrop Takes a Loss

After flying high against Brookfield on Monday, Lathrop came back down to earth. The Mules lost 3-0 to the St. Joseph Christian Lions on Tuesday. The Mules haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Libby Banks paced Lathrop's offense, picking up four kills. Banks got some help from Sadie Dunivent and her 13 assists. Sophia Rumans controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lathrop's defeat dropped their record down to 6-20-2. As for St. Joseph Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7-1 record this season.

Lathrop does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Joseph Christian, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against East Buchanan on the 23rd.
