Basketball Game Preview: Telfair County Trojans vs. Bowdon Red Devils

Telfair County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Passion Clay out in front who went 7-for-14 to rack up 15 points in addition to eight boards and seven assists. The dominant performance gave Clay a new career-high in assists. Aamoni Posley was another key player, going 8-for-11 en route to 20 points and eight rebounds.

Telfair County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 27 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Bowdon waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 53-48 W against the Wildcats. 53 seems to be a good number for the Red Devils as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Bowdon's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points over those games. As for Telfair County, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.
