Basketball Recap: Bloomfield Comes Up Short

Bloomfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 74-51 to the Penn Yan Academy Mustangs. The Bombers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Penn Yan Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at 13 games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-12 record.

Bloomfield has already played their next match (against Red Jacket), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Penn Yan Academy and Palmyra-Macedon will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Palmyra-Macedon has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
