West Michigan Aviation Academy's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Muskegon Catholic Central. Given West Michigan Aviation Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 118th, while Muskegon Catholic Central is ranked 301st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Montague entered their tilt with Ravenna on Wednesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Bulldogs 5-1. That's two games straight that Montague have won by exactly four goals.

West Michigan Aviation Academy has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 44 goals over those 11 contests. As for Montague, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5.

West Michigan Aviation Academy skirted past Montague 2-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2024.
