Volleyball Game Preview: Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans vs. Miller Rustlers + How To Watch

Mt. Vernon/Plankinton hasn't had much luck against Miller recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Titans will face off against the Rustlers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mt. Vernon/Plankinton took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Platte/Geddes with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Titans as it put an end to their six-match losing streak.

Mt. Vernon/Plankinton was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Miller had just enough and edged out Parkston 3-2 on Thursday.

Miller wouldn't go down easily and took Parkston into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-20, 25-15, 21-25, 15-11.

Mt. Vernon/Plankinton's record now sits at 6-14. As for Miller, their record is now 12-6.

Mt. Vernon/Plankinton couldn't quite get it done against Miller in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
