Volleyball Recap: Whiteland Warriors vs. Lawrenceburg Tigers

Whiteland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lawrenceburg Tigers. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Tigers when the teams met back in October of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Whiteland came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 26-24, 15-13.

Karlie Roy paced Whiteland's offense, picking up seven kills. Roy got some help from Carrie Ginder and her 18 assists. Lydia Bolinger controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Whiteland's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Lawrenceburg, their win ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 12-16.

Whiteland has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Northeastern on the 11th. As for Lawrenceburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Jay County on the 11th.
