Football Game Recap: Timberland vs. Fort Zumwalt North

After a string of seven wins, Fort Zumwalt North's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Timberland by a score of 32-34. The loss was a vexing one since Fort Zumwalt North were expected to win based on their state ranking.

With their first defeat of the season, Fort Zumwalt North fell to 7-1. The victory was the 3rd in a row for Timberland, as they raised their record to 6-2.

After their action against one another, the teams are leaving the conference to test themselves against outside opponents. Next week Fort Zumwalt North take on Howell Central at 7:00 PM. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'. As for Timberland, they will face off against Fort Zumwalt West. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
