Mountain View has no trouble against East

Recap: Mountain View Bruins vs. East Leopards

The Mountain View Bruins waltzed into their game Wednesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They enjoyed a cozy 63-49 victory over East. That looming 63-49 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Mountain View yet this season.

Conner Fairbanks continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Mountain View's points. Simeon Suguturaga was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why East lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sawyer Sutton. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points. The match was Sutton's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Campbell Christensen, who scored ten points.

East struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Mountain View pulled down 22 offensive rebounds.

Mountain View now has a winning record of 5-4. As for East, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Mountain View and Mountain Ridge will round out the year against one another at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Mountain Ridge is ranked 50th, while Mountain View is ranked 40th). As for East, they will face off against Tooele at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Tooele is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
