Football Recap: Canton South Takes a Loss

After flying high against Field last Friday, Canton South came back down to earth. The Wildcats were beaten by the Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy Royals 42-14 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 21-10 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Charley Levak, who threw for 59 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Reed Jones was in the mix as well, providing the Royals with one score.

Canton South's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canton South will host East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Woodridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
