Baseball Recap: Valders Comes Up Short

Valders managed to slip by Chilton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Vikings lost 14-3 to the Tigers on Thursday. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Lucas Spindler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Jack Wendling was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Valders' defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Chilton, they pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Coming up, Valders will look to defend their home field on Friday against Kewaunee at 4:30 p.m. The Storm's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Chilton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
