Baseball Game Preview: Waterville Shockers vs. Lake Roosevelt Raiders

The Waterville Shockers will square off against the Lake Roosevelt Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Roosevelt took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Waterville, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Waterville earned a 7-3 victory over Odessa.

Dylan Hodges was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Lake Roosevelt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 18-1 to Liberty Bell.

Lake Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Waterville, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Waterville might still be hurting after the 16-0 defeat they got from Lake Roosevelt in their previous matchup back in April of 2019. Can the Shockers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
