It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Hastings ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top against the North Platte Bulldogs by a score of 3-1. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Hastings' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska soccer rankings (they are ranked fifth, while North Platte are ranked 57th).

Hastings hit North Platte with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jose Mares, Aden Riley, and Christian Almond.

The win made it two in a row for Hastings and bumps their season record up to 13-1. As for North Platte, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
