Vancleave won the last time they faced Hancock and things went their way on Saturday too. The Vancleave Bulldogs won by a run and slipped past the Hancock Hawks 4-3.

Tony Craven looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Hunter Harper was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Aidan Tapp was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Vancleave is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. Hancock is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Coming up, Vancleave will take on East Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be East Central's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Hancock, they will face off against Long Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
