Hayesville has gone a perfect 10-0 against Cherokee recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets will take on the Braves at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Hayesville lost 14-4 to Smoky Mountain on Friday. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Cherokee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Hiwassee Dam.

Dillon Beam spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Cherokee saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shiloh Woodson, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base.

Cherokee's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Hayesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Everything went Hayesville's way against Cherokee in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Hayesville made off with a 19-0 win. Will the Yellowjackets repeat their success, or do the Braves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
