Football Game Preview: Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats vs. Walton Warriors

Bainbridge-Guilford hasn't had much luck against Walton recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Bobcats will square off against the Warriors at 1:30 p.m.

Things were looking good for Bainbridge-Guilford after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Sidney by a score of 16-14. The game marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Walton, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They strolled past Harpursville/Afton with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 46-28. The Warriors' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

The win got Walton back to even at 4-4. As for Bainbridge-Guilford, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Everything went Bainbridge-Guilford's way against Walton in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as Bainbridge-Guilford made off with a 36-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
