Softball Game Preview: Bowie Pirates vs. Harts Bluff Bulldogs

Bowie has gone a perfect 4-0 against Harts Bluff recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bowie Pirates will square off against the Harts Bluff Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Bowie has given up an average of 8.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Bowie managed to slip by Linden-Kildare the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Bowie came up short against Linden-Kildare on Friday, falling 11-2. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Pirates couldn't push the score so high this time.

Bowie saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tatum Tyndell, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that Tyndell launched this season. Another was Callie Allen, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, Harts Bluff didn't have quite enough to beat Maud on Friday and fell 9-8. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost four in a row.

Bowie's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Harts Bluff, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Bowie skirted past Harts Bluff 7-6 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Does Bowie have another victory up their sleeve, or will Harts Bluff turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
