Basketball Game Preview: R.J. Reynolds Demons vs. East Forsyth Eagles

The R.J. Reynolds Demons will head out to challenge the East Forsyth Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row, R.J. Reynolds turned things around against Glenn on Friday. They took down the Bobcats 77-60.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Forsyth). They blew past Parkland 91-69 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Eagles have posted against the Mustangs since February 14, 2022.

East Forsyth pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for R.J. Reynolds, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-13.

R.J. Reynolds took a serious blow against East Forsyth in their previous meeting back in January, falling 60-19. Can R.J. Reynolds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
