Volleyball Recap: Calvary Day Comes Up Short

Calvary Day lost against Richmond Hill back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cavaliers fell 2-0 to the Wildcats.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-19.

Richmond Hill's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryanna Da Silva, who had eight digs and two aces. With that strong performance, Da Silva is now averaging an impressive 12 assists per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Gilbert, who had eight digs and four assists.

Calvary Day has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season. As for Richmond Hill, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 29-2.

Calvary Day and Richmond Hill should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Cavaliers will face off against Windsor Forest at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (147 vs. 465). Meanwhile, Richmond Hill (ranked 13th) will meet St. Vincent's (ranked 61st) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
