Basketball Recap: Friday's Defeat Ends Effingham's Winning Streak

After flying high against Mattoon last Thursday, Effingham came back down to earth. The Effingham Hearts took a hard 54-36 fall against the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes on Friday. The matchup marked the Hearts' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

The defeat snapped Effingham's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 20-6 record. As for Teutopolis, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 20-6.
