League recap: Kidwell overpowering for Bell in past week

5A Region I District 6 league recap: 3/20/13

5A Region I District 6's top pitcher this week was Bell's Bryce Kidwell. Over the past week, he had one win and 11 Ks.

Nimitz outperformed the rest of the league this week, as its three total wins led the league. The Vikings beat Turner 9-7 and Timber Creek 5-0.

The Raiders boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

The highest batting average in the league this week belonged to Bell's Sydney Daley, who churned out three hits in seven at bats for a .429 average. His average for the season stands at .255, which ranks sixth in the league. Daley has accumulated 13 base knocks this year so far.

The Raiders' Kidwell led the league in strikeouts this week with 11. He's fourth in the league with 11 total strikeouts.
