Basketball Recap: Westover's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Westover extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Bryson Carter. The Westover Patriots enjoyed a cozy 56-38 victory over the Bainbridge Bearcats on Thursday thanks in part to Carter, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 21 points and four steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Jalen Holmes was another key player, putting up seven points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

Bainbridge's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keion Williams, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Ja'Veen Breedlove, who posted five points and nine rebounds.

Westover's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Bainbridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.

Westover has already played their next match, a 65-60 defeat against Peach County on the 8th. As for Bainbridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-39 loss against Early County on the 7th.
