Basketball Game Preview: Clarkston Angoras vs. Marist War Eagles

Clarkston hasn't had much luck against Marist recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Angoras will head out to challenge the War Eagles at 6:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Clarkston came up short against Atlanta International and fell 37-29.

Despite the defeat, Clarkston had strong showings from Grace Kasongo, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds, and Autumn Cooper, who posted six points and three steals. Kasongo is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aamryn Pipersburgh, who had nine points.

Meanwhile, Marist had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Galloway 85-59 on Tuesday. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the War Eagles had established a 22-point advantage.

Clarkston was dealt a bruising 74-10 loss at the hands of Marist when the teams last played back in February. Can the Angoras avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
