Softball Recap: Camden Takes a Loss

Camden and Fountain Inn squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Camden had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Fury by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Audri Phillips made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Jayden Kennedy was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Camden's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Fountain Inn, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Camden does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fountain Inn, they will head out to challenge Westside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Fury surely won't give up without a fight.
