East Wake waltzed into their game on Monday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. They really took it to the Southern Wayne Saints for the full four quarters, racking up a 75-42 victory. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Southern Wayne saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kairell Evans went 6-for-11 en route to 15 points and seven boards. Evans' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Demetrius Elliot, who posted ten points.

East Wake pushed their record up to 15-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points over those games. As for Southern Wayne, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

East Wake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 72-54 victory against South Johnston on the 11th. As for Southern Wayne, they have also already played their next contest, a 75-72 defeat against Fike on the 13th.
