Softball Recap: Conant Drops Highest Score of Season Against Mascenic Regional

Conant had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 6-6 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They blew past the Mascenic Regional Vikings 14-6. The Orioles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Mascenic Regional, they moved to 8-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered since April 18th.

For Mascenic Regional's part, Payton Lafreniere was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Lafreniere has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Keating, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Conant will challenge Raymond at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mascenic Regional, they will square off against Newmarket at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
