Basketball Game Preview: Brownwood Lions vs. Lake Country Christian Eagles

The Brownwood Lions and the Lake Country Christian Eagles will face off at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Brownwood will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Brownwood saw some tournament action on Friday. They strolled past Nolan Catholic with points to spare, taking the game 52-38.

Meanwhile, Lake Country Christian earned a 42-31 win over Abilene on Friday.

Lake Country Christian is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.1 points per game. As for Brownwood, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Brownwood came up short against Lake Country Christian when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 46-35. Can Brownwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
